FDCPA Training and Certification

The team behind this FDCPA Certification course brings a wealth of experience, spanning decades, from all different corners of the debt collection industry. This project was in development for over a year prior to launch, as each member of the team contributed more to the materials, the process and even the way it is presented.

q-icon  Will we be able to access the course materials after completing the course?

Yes! When you take the course, you are granted access to all materials (videos, analysis, etc) for a full year. When you pass the course and get your certificate, that access is extended to a full year from the graduation date. If you are getting the daily test questions, you will also have access to all course materials for the duration of your time as a student.

q-icon What exactly is certification? Why do I need it?

There is no such thing as a government-recognized FDCPA certification. However, the CFPB and FTC have made it very clear that they expect professional training for the employees of companies communicating with consumers about debt. We serve hundreds of collection agencies, law firms, debt buyers and creditors with that professional level of training at a very low cost.

q-icon How much does it cost? When is a payment due, and what forms of payment are accepted?

Our pricing is listed on the home page. You will be prompted to pay by credit card any time you enroll new students, or we can invoice you (call us to discuss this option). The course is a one-time payment and the daily test questions are billed monthly. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and Amex. Payment is expected prior to course access being granted.

q-icon Will a certificate be issued upon course completion, and if so, how is it done?

Yes, a unique certificate is automatically issued upon the successful completion of the final exam. The student will be able to view and print their own certificate, as well as a graphical badge with their unique certification code that can be used in an email signature.

q-icon How long is the course?

The course has 11 modules, covering sections 802, 803, 804, 805, 806, 807, 808, 809, 810-811-812, 813 and 814-815-816. Each module contains 1) The text of that section of FDCPA 2) A 3-5 minute video discussing the section 3) Written material recapping the section and giving further analysis of the important takeaways 4) A short quiz which must be passed to move on to the next section After the final section, the student will get the final exam.

q-icon Can each student complete the course at his/her own pace?

Yes! Come and go as you please. Your progress will be retained and you can pick up right where you left off. Each student has a full year to complete the course from the time they are registered.

q-icon How do I enroll my entire collection floor, company, etc?

You would set up a free master company account first, then purchase as many enrollments as you need from inside your account. It is all very straightforward. If you have more than 3 students to enroll, you will benefit from our volume pricing.

q-icon How long does certification last? Will it expire?

Your coursework remains open to you forever, but earned certificates have a one-year date before expiration. At any time, you can choose to retake the final exam and recertify for a discounted price.

q-icon What is this daily push testing, and how does it work?

The concept is simple – we help you touch every collector every day with a compliance testing process. They have pushed a daily test question from our FDCPA database (by email, SMS text or through one of our collection software partner integrations). Each answer is tracked, and you begin building a file from day one of your compliance process that can be shared with clients, prospective clients or regulators.
